THE PEOPLE OF GOD

When we ask what is wrong with America, we often look outward at politicians, policies, and institutions. But 2 Chronicles 7:14 redirects our focus with two powerful words: 'if my people.' This message challenges us to recognize that national revival does not begin in Washington or in our schools, but within the hearts of God's people. We are not just believers or religious people—we bear the name of God in this world. We are His chosen generation, citizens of heaven passing through this earthly land. Like salt preserves food by slowing decay, we are called to be preserving people who push back against the world's corruption. Salt also creates thirst and adds flavor, and our lives should make others thirsty for God. The real question is not what our country can do for us, but what we, as God's people, can do for our country. We must be intercessors who pray for those in authority rather than merely criticizing them. We must be preparing people, not just preparing ourselves, helping others meet Jesus and experience the transformation that only the gospel can bring. When we humble ourselves, pray, seek God's face, and turn from our wicked ways, then God hears, forgives, and heals our land.
